Released: Wealthsimple Credit Card Importer for YNAB

YNAB doesn’t support syncing Wealthsimple credit cards, so I built a browser extension that syncs your Wealthsimple credit card transactions into YNAB.

It uses the Wealthsimple session you’re already signed into, so there’s no token to dig out. Connect YNAB with one click (or a personal access token), pick your card, budget and account, and hit Sync Now. You can preview the import first, re-syncing never creates duplicates, and pending transactions are marked cleared once they settle.

Everything runs locally in your browser. There’s no server, and your data only goes to Wealthsimple and YNAB.

Install it for Chrome or Firefox. The source is on GitHub under GPL-3.0.

If you want to build your own browser extension for YNAB or Wealthsimple, it also makes a good starting point. It already handles YNAB sign-in and the Wealthsimple session, and builds for both Chrome and Firefox.

It isn’t affiliated with Wealthsimple or YNAB, and it relies on Wealthsimple’s private API, so it may break if they change it.
